WingSoft Seat Heaters are designed to fit GL1800 Goldwings and we offer
them in two kit versions. Drivers seat kit:
Includes a heating element that covers the seating area of the
driver seat. Passenger Kit: Includes two heating elements, one for
the center section of the passenger seat, and one for the passenger
backrest. Both kits include all wiring, switches, and items necessary to
install the heaters on a GL1800.
The
driver and passenger seat kits are controlled independently of each
other using the latest digital controllers. Each kit include a
two position Hi/Low switch allowing the driver and passenger to
have different heat settings. The price of our heater kits includes
installation of the heater elements into the seat. The customer is
responsible for any wiring on the bike. The wire heating elements also
come with a manufacturers 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.

The wiring is very easy. Simply crimp on a connector for power,
ground and run the wires. Everything else is done for you using
quick disconnects. In the picture above, I have the driver and
passenger controllers stacked together and held with electrical
tape. As you can see,
these two controllers are small enough to fit just about
anywhere under the seat. I mounted mine under the fuse box. If
you choose this location, be sure to route the passenger wire
harness under the cross member. Failure to do this will result
in the seat pan pinching these wires against the frame. For this
picture, and to give you a better visual, the controllers are
pulled out of the “pocket” under the fuse box. |

The switches can be mounted anywhere as there is more than
enough wire to mount them in a convenient location. A 3/4 inch
hole is required for mounting each switch, so you need at least
one square inch of flat surface per switch. Water proof switch
covers are included in the kit. |
